Track to Compete in Ohio State Invitational

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - The Marshall University indoor track and field team will travel to Columbus, Ohio on Saturday to compete in the Ohio State Invitational.

In their last outing the Thundering Herd was led by freshman Rachel Blankenship who finished ninth in the shot put with a throw of 41'8.5" (12.71m). In the running events junior Xavier Richards placed 13th in the 400-meter dash with a time of 58.23. Senior Zedmalia Wolfe had a 19th place finish in the 200-meter dash (25.54).

In addition to Marshall, Ashland, Kent State, Malone, Xavier, Ball State, California (Pa.), Indianapolis and Louisville will also be competing in the meet.

The Ohio State Invitational is set to begin at noon in the French Field House.
