SAN ANTONIO - Thundering Herd volleyball team members Kelly-Anne Billingy and Katie Stein were named to the AVCA All-America Honorable Mention team Wednesday in San Antonio.

This is the second time the sophomore Billingy has been honored as an AVCA All-American and the first time for the senior Stein. Billingy and Stein are the only two players in Marshall volleyball history to be named All-Americans for their play on the court.

Billingy and Stein led the Herd and Conference USA statistically in their respective areas all season long and in turn were named the league's Player and Setter of the Year.

Stein became one of Marshall's most storied players in program history as she broke the Thundering Herd career assists and service aces records. The senior setter from Sussex, Wis., finished the year with 1,460 assists and 13.77 per game. Stein was in the top six nationally all season long in assists per game and finished with 58 aces (0.55/game). Stein was also in the top 15 nationally in aces per game this season.
