Men's Golf To Host Sixth Annual El Diablo Intercollegiate

CITRUS SPRINGS, Fla. - The Thundering Herd will host 18 other collegiate golf programs this Saturday and Sunday at the sixth annual El Diablo Intercollegiate.
The 2005 El Diablo Intercollegiate will take place at the par-72, 7,045 yard El Diablo Golf and Country Club in Citrus Springs, Fla. Thirty-six holes are slated for Saturday, with the final round taking place on Sunday. On both days, play will start with a shotgun start at 7:30 a.m.
Teams competing this year are: Army, Ball State, Connecticut, Eastern Kentucky, Elon, Florida Atlantic, Florida Gulf Coast, Hartford, Marquette, Murray State, Oklahoma City, Princeton, Rhode Island, Siena, Texas-San Antonio, Winthrop, Wright State, Yale, and host Marshall.
Eastern Kentucky won last year's event with a three-round team total of 895. The host Thundering Herd finished in a tie for sixth place with a score of 921. Shawn Warren (Windham, Maine) was Marshall's leading scorer in 2004, posting a 223, which was good for a tie for sixth place.
