HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - The Marshall University women's track team will be traveling to Knoxville, Tenn. to compete in the 37th Annual SeaRay Relays on Friday and Saturday. The meet will take place at Tom Black Track on the campus of the University of Tennessee.
Competing in the 2005 SeaRay Relays will be approximately 1,350 athletes from more than 100 teams including Olympic athletes and current world record holders.
The 4x100-meter relay team comprised of seniors Ashli Creal (Chicago, Ill.) and Kristin Herron (Frankfort, Ky.), and freshmen Teniqua Sutton (Westbury, N.J.) and Terryn Webb (Beckley, W.Va.) is expected to lead the Herd this weekend after a strong showing at the prestigious Texas Relays.
The SeaRay Relays began Wednesday with the heptathlon and decathlon events. The Herd begins competion on Friday with a start time set for 8:45 a.m. Saturday's events begin at 9:15 a.m.
