Track and Field Finish Regular Season at Jesse Owens Classic

COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Marshall University track and field team wrapped up the regular season on Saturday at the Jesse Owens Classic.

On the track junior Stephanie Eastman (Spencer, W.Va.) had a fifth place finish for the Thundering Herd in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:17.07.

In field events freshman Teniqua Sutton (Westbury, N.J.) placed second in the long jump with a distance of 18 feet 10.75 inches.

Next up for the Herd are the Mid-American Conference Championships. The outdoor championships will take place in Athens, Ohio, May 12-14 and will be hosted by Ohio University.
