Herd Volleyball Opens Penn State Classic Against Penn

State College, Pa. - Up next for the Marshall University volleyball team is the Penn Quakers of the Ivy League in the opening match of the Penn State Classic at State College, Pa. at 5 p.m. in Rec Hall.
The Quakers enter the match with 1-2 record while the Herd is looking to rebound from a disappointing loss to Pitt Wednesday night that dropped its record to 5-3.
Marshall was riding a five match winning streak into the Pittsburgh match, but had it snapped in its opening match of its Pennsylvania road swing.
The Herd will face Seton Hall and Penn State on Saturday afternoon to conlude play in the Penn State Classic.
The Thundering Herd is led by Stephanie Cahill with 90 kills on the season and Kelly-Anne Billingy with just under six kills per game.
