IRVING, Texas - Marshall University junior running back Ahmad Bradshaw has been named the Conference USA Offensive Player of the week for his outstanding performance at UAB.

Bradshaw rushed for a career-high 242 yards and two touchdowns on 25 carries to lead Marshall to a 31-24 win at UAB on Saturday. Bradshaw's rushing total is the third highest recorded by a player at Marshall and the first 200+ yard rushing performance by an MU player since Chris Parker in 1993. Bradshaw scored on runs of 26 and 67 yards against the Blazers and he compiled 174 yards on 11 carries with the two scores in the first half alone. Bradshaw averaged 9.7 yards per carry and his rushing total is the fifth highest single game total in Division I-A so far this year.

This marks the first time that Bradshaw has earned Conference Player of the Week Honors. Last season, Marshall had three players earn C-USA Player of the Week honors, two for special teams and one defensive.

The Houston pair of senior Marquay Love and sophomore Ben Bell took two of three Conference USA Player of the Week honors. Love earned the C-USA Defensive Player of the Week honors, while Bell was named the C-USA Special Teams Player of the Week.
