Marshall Volleyball to Take on Southern Miss Sunday

HUNTINGTON - After coming off its third consecutive home sweep on Friday at the Cam Henderson Center, the Marshall University volleyball team will be back in action for another home match Sunday against Southern Miss.

The Thundering Herd (17-9, 9-3 C-USA) will be hosting its second match of the 2006 Homecoming weekend.

Southern Miss (13-13, 5-6 C-USA) comes into Sunday's match after losing three straight conference matches. The Golden Eagles last Conference USA victory of the season came against the Herd on Oct. 15.

The Herd and Rice have met three times previously with Marshall holding the overall series lead 2-1.

Sunday's match will start at 1 p.m. at the Henderson Center and admission is free.
