HUNTINGTON - Kelly-Anne Billingy's match-high 20 kills helped lead the Marshall University volleyball team to a 3-0 (30-19, 30-23, 30-18) win over Southern Miss at the Cam Henderson Center on Sunday.
The Thundering Herd (18-9, 10-3 C-USA) earned its fourth straight sweep by defeating the Golden Eagles (13-14, 5-7 C-USA) in Marshall's final match of Homecoming weekend.
Stephanie Cahill's .400 hitting percentage and 14 kills were only bested in the match by teammate Billingy who recorded a .500 attack percentage and 20 kills.
Defensively for the Herd Cahill led the team with 11 digs followed by 10 from Maggie Arias and Christin Bimberg. Up front for Marshall, Uche Ndubisi posted her match-best five blocks followed by three each from Chelsea Lazar and Bimberg.
Marshall will begin its final road trip of the season when it travels to Memphis on Friday, Nov. 3 and UAB on Nov. 5.
