Trent Schambach Named Conference USA Golfer Of The Week

DALLAS, Texas - Marshall sophomore Trent Schambach was named the Conference USA Men's Golfer of the Week for the week of April 12-19 for his play at the Kepler Intercollegiate last weekend at Muirfield Village in Columbus, Ohio.

Schambach finished in fifth place out of 78 golfers at last week's Kepler Intercollegiate in a stacked field, which included ten Big 10 teams and some of the region's top squads. Schambach fired a 218 (72-70-76) and led the Herd to a fourth place finish. It is Schambach's first golfer of the week honor, and Marshall's first as a team since entering Conference USA.

The Herd travels to Old Waverly Golf Club in West Point, Miss., on April 24-26 for the Conference USA Men's Golf Championships to close out its regular season.
