Waggoner to Speak at Two Events This Weekend

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - Marshall baseball head coach Jeff Waggoner will speak at two coaches clinics this weekend. Friday he will give several clinics at the 2007 Baseball Bash in Richmond, Va., and Sunday he will be in Miami, Fla., to speak at the South Florida Coaches Clinic.

Friday, Waggoner will be one of several college coaches who provides tips on preparing coaches to be better practice and game coaches. Waggoner will give presentations on "What Is My Role as a Hitter," "Organization of the Hitting Portion of Practice with 15 Hitters," "Teaching Proper Bunting Fundamentals," "Teaching the Triangle Play at First Base" and "Coaching the D.H. (Discouraged Hitter)." He then will fly to Miami for presentations at the South Florida Coaches Clinic on Sunday.

Marshall opens its 2007 regular season Feb. 16 at Charleston Southern.
