SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Marshall volleyball senior Kelly-Anne Billingy and freshman Elizabeth Fleming earned American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Honorable Mention All-American honors for their achievements during the 2007 season.

This marks the fourth consecutive season Billingy has been named AVCA All-American, a feat accomplished by no other Marshall volleyball player.

"I'ts been a privilege to share four years with Kelly-Anne and the rest of the senior class," head coach Mitch Jacobs said. "Being a four-time All-American is an unbelievable accomplishment, and it's too bad we couldn't get her through the NCAA Tournament."

Billingy tallied 567 kills in 2007 and amassed a school-record 2,481 during her career at Marshall. The senior ranked 12th in the nation in kills per game (5.15).

Joining Billingy on the honorable mention list is Fleming, whose 13.35 assists per game ranks her 13th in the nation, and second among all freshman setters. Fleming finished her inaugural season with the Herd with 1,642 assists.

"This is an amazing honor for Liz," Jacobs noted. "For her to come in and run the offense at a very high level as a freshman makes her very deserving of this recognition."
