HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - After its four-game series with LaSalle was cancelled last weekend, the Marshall baseball team has made some adjustments to its upcoming schedule. Marshall will now play at West Virginia Tech at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at Epling Field in Montgomery, W.Va.
Marshall and West Virginia Tech have not met since 1990 when the Herd posted a 14-4 win. Marshall leads the series, 56-17.
In addition, the Thundering Herd will now play Buffalo in doubleheaders Saturday and Sunday. The first game Saturday will still begin at noon, while the Sunday doubleheader will start at 11 a.m. The series was originally scheduled to begin Friday, but the Bulls were snowed in after their weekend series at Nevada and will not get back to Buffalo until Wednesday night, forcing the first game of their series at Marshall to be pushed back one day. The teams will play one nine-inning game and one seven-inning contest in each doubleheader.
