ATHENS, Ohio - The Marshall baseball team's scheduled doubleheader today at Ohio University has been slimmed to a single nine-inning game beginning at 4 p.m. ET, due to the threat of thunderstorms.
The Herd's Adam Dobies (Pittsburgh, Pa.) is the scheduled starter on the mound for head coach Jeff Waggoner. The right-hander pitched three innings of relief in his last outing to close out the Memphis Tigers on Saturday. Ohio will counter with Dan Weiss, who started against Marshall in an earlier matchup this season on April 4 in Athens. Weiss (2-5) got a no decision after pitching 5.0 innings with four hits, three earned runs and six strikeouts.
The Bobcats upended the Herd in a come-from-behind 9-6 win in the team's earlier matchup at Bob Wren Stadium.
Wednesday's game can be followed online using GameTracker, available on HerdZone.com.
