Women's Track Has Strong Showing at Ohio Open

ATHENS, Ohio - Marshall University's women's track and field team tuned up for this week's Conference USA Championships with a strong showing at Ohio University on Saturday. Thundering Herd athletes won four events at the Ohio Open in Athens.
Marshall's Angelica Harris took first place in the 400-meter dash with a time of 57.51 seconds, while Rolanda Bruce captured first in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:04.91.
The Thundering Herd's Andrea Jackson finished first in the triple jump with a leap of 11.47 and Marshall's 4x100 team of Angelica Harris, Breanna Jones, Andrea Jackson and Carmisa Morris recorded the top time in the 4x100 meter relay with a time of 47.59 seconds.

Marshall will compete in the Conference USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships Thursday through Saturday at the University of Houston.
