Baseball Program to Hold Walk-On Tryout Sept. 6

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - The Marshall University baseball team will hold walk-on tryouts on Thursday, Sept. 6, in anticipation of the Thundering Herd's 2008 season. The tryout will take place at the baseball field off Route 2 at the Kennedy YMCA Center (approximately six miles from campus) at 3:30 p.m.

All Marshall students wishing to try out for the team must attend a mandatory meeting with the Marshall Compliance office at 4 p.m. on Sept. 5 in the Auxiliary Gym of the Cam Henderson Center. Following the meeting, all walk-on candidates must provide proof of health insurance to the MU training staff.

Students are responsible for their own glove, spikes and baseball pants or shorts at the tryout.
