AKRON, Ohio - The Marshall University women's track team will continue the 2008 indoor season this weekend at the Akron Open.

The event will take place at the Stile Athletics Field House on the campus of the University of Akron. Events will begin Friday at 5 p.m. and will continue Saturday at 9:30 a.m.

Last year at the Akron Open, the Thundering Herd had a great showing over the weekend. Seniors Teniqua Sutton (Westbury, N.J.), Britani Keeney (Proctorville, Ohio) and sophomore Angelica Harris (Clinton, S.C.) were all able to win their respective events.

Sutton took the title in both in the triple jump, where she set a school record (39 feet-five inches) and the high jump. Keeney sat atop of the weight throw event, while Harris was able to win the 400 meter dash.

Live results from the meet will be posted on Akron's athletics website, http://www.gozips.com/.
