HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - The Marshall University Club of Cincinnati will host a Marshall Baseball Preview with head coach Jeff Waggoner, Monday, Jan. 21 at 7:00 p.m. at the Putters Tavern & Grill in Milford, Ohio at the intersection of State Road 28 and Interstate-275.

There will be the opportunity to meet and greet with Waggoner, as well as a silent auction of one-of-a-kind baseball memorabilia, door prizes, and a raffle.

A minimum $20 donation in advance, or a $25 donation at the door, includes a buffet bar. A cash bar will also be available for adult beverages. Visa and Mastercard accepted upon RSVP.

The event will give Marshall fans, alumni and friends in the greater Cincinnati area a glimpse of the 2008 Thundering Herd baseball team.

Waggoner enters his second year as skipper of the Herd, leading the team to a 21-32 record in his first season, narrowly missing the Conference USA tournament by one game this past season.

Waggoner is looking to build on that first year by expanding his recruiting base and taking Marshall into the C-USA tournament and beyond in the years to come.

C-USA boasts one of the most competitive lineups of college baseball teams, including 10 collective appearances in the College World Series over the years, most notably 2003 National Champion Rice University.

To RSVP in advance contact John Chafin at (513) 404-8484 or by email at jchafin7@hotmail.com
