Glenn Wilkes Classic Announces Hotel-Ticket Package Info

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - Hotel and ticket packages are now available for the 2008 Glenn Wilkes Classic, the season-opening men's basketball tournament that will play host to the Marshall Thundering Herd for three games in Daytona Beach, Fla., from Nov. 21-23.
The Glenn Wilkes Classic offers a hotel-ticket package for the entire event that costs $125 per night for a double-room at the Hilton Daytona Beach Oceanfront Resort (where each team will be housed) and $20 for an entire tournament pass.
The Glenn Wilkes Classic features three Herd contests, including Nov. 21 versus Morgan State, Nov. 22 versus Wisconsin-Green Bay and Nov. 23 versus Mississippi. Utah and Rollins College will also participate in the event.
Games will be played at the Ocean Center, a facility undergoing a 164,000 square foot expansion that will make it the sixth largest complex in the state of Florida.
Marshall, under the direction of former University of Florida assistant Donnie Jones, has four Florida natives on its roster, including senior Darryl Merthie from Sanford, Fla.
