Women's Track Set for VT Challenge

BLACKSBURG, Va. - The Marshall University women's track team will compete once more before the Conference USA Indoor Championships stopping off to take the VT Challenge this weekend.
During the 2008 indoor season, senior Rachel Blankenship (Hurricane, W.Va.) has set two marks in the school indoor record for the shot put event. Her best mark came at the New Balance Invitational with a throw of 46 feet and eight and ¼ inches.
Sophomore Andrea Jackson (Sumter, S.C.) has found herself rewriting history as well in the triple jump event. Last week, Jackson broke her own record at the Tiger Invitational with a leap of 40 feet and ½ an inch.
