KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - Coming off a record-setting weekend, senior Teniqua Sutton finished seventh in the triple jump at the 2008 Sea Ray Relays hosted by the University of Tennessee.
Sutton's jump measured a distance of 12.61m. The jump is only her second best mark of the 2008 outdoor season behind her school record and NCAA regional qualifying jump of 12.70m. She accomplished those feats last week at the Duke Invitational.
Teammate sophomore Andrea Jackson, who also qualified for NCAA Regionals last week, was able to finished ninth in the triple jump with a leap of 12.24m.
Senior Rachel Blankenship finished 14th in the shot put event with a throw of 14.25m. Blankenship qualified for regionals back in March at the Asics/Winthrop Invitational where she set a school record as well.
Marshall University women's track will be back in action April 18 when they compete at the Eastern Kentucky Invitational.
