Marshall Men's Golf Travels To Bearcat Invitational

The Marshall University men's golf team returns to Cincinnati, Ohio, for the second consecutive week as the Thundering Herd travels to the University of Cincinnati Invitational Oct. 12-13. The 54-hole meet will be played at the Traditions Golf Course.

Rounds one and two will be played on Monday and will begin with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. Tuesday's 18 holes also gets underway with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. Joining Marshall in the field are: Austin Peay, Ball State, Bellarmine, Bowling Green, Two teams from the host Cincinnati, Cleveland State, Eastern Kentucky, Miami of Ohio, Ohio, Morehead State, Northern Kentucky, Oakland, Western Kentucky, Wright State, and Youngstown State.

The Herd finished 11th last week at the Xavier Invitational. Nathan Kerns (Fr., Ironton, Ohio, Ironton H.S.) was the top performing MU golfer as he came in 23rd during the event.

Joining Kerns in this week's lineup will be Bosten Miller (So., Charleston, W.Va., Capital H.S.), Bennett Boyer (So., Millersburg, Pa., Millersburg Area H.S.), Aaron Boggs (RS-Fr., Madison, W.Va., Scott H.S.), and Ryan Brookshire (RS-So., Grapevine, Texas/Colleyville-Heritage HS).
