Track Opens 2009-10 Season at Oiler Open

FINDLAY, Ohio - The Marshall University women's track team heads to Findlay, Ohio, for its first competition of the 2009-10 indoor track season, as the Herd takes part in the Oiler Open, hosted by the University of Findlay on Saturday afternoon.

The Thundering Herd has great depth this season lead by seniors Andrea Jackson, LaTricia Jones and Rolanda Bruce. Jackson, a long and triple jump specialist, is coming off a sixth place finish at the Conference USA Outdoor Championships last May.

Other teams joining Marshall and the host school will be: Ashland University, Bowling Green State University, Central State University, Concordia University, Heidelberg University, Hillsdale College, IUPUI, Kentucky State University, Miami University, Siena Heights University, University of South Florida, Spring Arbor University, Tiffin University, University of Dayton, University of Toledo and Xavier University.
