COLUMBUS, Ohio - Former Marshall University men's soccer player Jared Dombrowski has signed a contract with the Ohio Vortex of the Professional Arena Soccer League (PASL).
"He is a talented young man," head coach Bob Gray said. "This is a reward for a kid who has been a solid performer his whole time here. He loved Marshall and was very passionate about playing here. I am happy that he has a chance to further his career at the professional level. It's a plus for our program to get another one of our players into the professional ranks, and I know he will do well."
Dombrowski was a four-year letterwinner for the Herd from 2001-2005. He started his career as a striker and ended his career as a defender.
"I first want to congratulate the MU soccer team on a great year," Dombrowski said. "I had a great time at Marshall. I continued to play after my time there, but nothing at this level. I was asked to try out, and I ended up making the team."
The PASL Pro League is made up of four divisions. There are nine American teams broken up into and East and West division, a Canadian division, and a Mexican division.
