INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Marshall University women's track wrapped up a single day meet Saturday at the Stan Lyons Invitational hosted by Butler.
Senior Kwema Phillander (Trinidad) finished fifth in the javelin with a heave of 39.52m. In the hammer throw, junior Molly Grove (Bunker Hill, W.Va.) placed 11th with a mark of 48.47m.
Senior Emily Bailey (Kenova, W.Va.) reached with a top ten finish in the 3000-meter with a time of 11:02.21. In the same event, freshman Kylie Lemons (Prichard, W.Va.) earned 11th coming in at 11:20.62.
Sophomore Kathleen Clark (Twinsburg, Ohio) managed an 11th place finish in the 3000-meter steeplechase with a time of 12:17.42.
With one scheduled meet remaining, the Thundering HERD will gear up for the Jesse Owens Classic hosted by the Ohio State University. The meet runs from May 1-2.
