Football Travels to Southern Miss

Marshall will open Conference USA play on the road at Southern Miss Saturday night. Kickoff is set for 8 p.m. (ET) and the game will be televised by CBS College Sports.

The Thundering Herd (1-3, 0-0 C-USA) faces the Golden Eagles (3-1, 0-0 C-USA) in the league opener for both schools. Southern Miss has won 10 straight games at Roberts Stadium dating back to the 2008 season and maintains an impressive 27-13 record in home C-USA games.

Marshall trails the all-time series 4-1 and dropped a 27-20 decision to Southern Miss last season in Huntington, however Marshall picked up a 34-27 win in Hattiesburg during its last visit back in 2008.

CBS College Sports will televise the game with Roger Twibell serving as play-by-play announcer and Mike Leach handling analyst duties.
