Marshall Scouting Report
9-13, 3-7 C-USA
The Thundering Herd returns back to the friendly confines of the Henderson Center after dropping two five-set matches at Southern Miss and Tulane. MU looks to right the ship against the Lonestar State opponents in league play, as the Herd has lost six-straight C-USA matches.

Player to Watch: Elizabeth Herman, OH
Herman has taken off as the top attacker for the Herd in her final season in Huntington. In her last three matches, Herman has recorded a total of 76 kills - posting more than 20 kills in each contest. During that span Herman averaged 5.06 kills/set and registered a career-high 30 kills versus SMU on Oct. 17. She is only the third player in C-USA this season to tally more than 25 spikes on two-or-more occasions.

Home Sweet Home
Marshall owns a 7-3 record at home this season and is 71-19 in the Henderson Center under head coach Mitch Jacobs. The Herd has struggled on the road, owning a 0-8 record as the visitor and 2-2 tally at neutral sites.

Cracking the Top Ten
Elizabeth Fleming moved into ninth place all-time in Conference USA in career assists with 4,851. She trails current Rice setter Meredith Schamun by 11 helpers for eighth position in league history.

Big Dig Project
Five different players on the Marshall volleyball squad average better than 2.00 digs/set, led by freshman Laura Der (2.92). The others include Katy Schad (2.90), Dorothy Rahal (2.88), Elizabeth Fleming (2.23) and Ryanne Milligan (2.15).

Milestones Approaching
Seniors Elizabeth Fleming and Elizabeth Herman are closing in on impressive milestones for their careers at Marshall. Fleming is narrowing in on 5,000 (4,851) career assists and 1,000 (920) digs, while Herman is nearing 1,000 (878) kills during her four years.

Houston Scouting Report
13-10, 7-4 C-USA
The Cougars sit in third place in C-USA standings after earning a split of weekend matches, falling to Tulsa (3-1) before knocking off SMU (3-1). After dropping the first two league matches of the season, Houston rallied off a five-game winning streak against league opponents, but is 2-2 over its last four.

Player to Watch: Lucy Charuk, MB
Last weekend, Charuk produced a monster performance in the middle for the Cougars. During the two matches, Charuk slammed home 30 kills, including a 17-spike performance to defeat SMU. Against the Mustangs, she posted a .571 (17K-1E-28TA) hitting clip and is averaging 3.12 kills/set for the season.

Rice Scouting Report
12-11, 7-4 C-USA
A recent slide has seen the Rice Owls lose three-of-four league games. The lone victory came at Memphis in four sets. The Owls are the reigning C-USA Tournament Champions from last season and hold the fourth spot in the conference.

Player to Watch: Tracey Lam, L
Lam has been a staple for the Rice defense over her career at the libero position. She is averaging 5.76 digs/set (fourth in NCAA) and surpassed the 2,000 dig mark earlier in the season.
