Marshall Men's Golf Finishes Fourth At Renaissance Invitational

FT. MYERS, Fla.--The Marshall University Men's Golf Team finished fourth at the Renaissance Invitational Oct. 4 at the Renaissance Golf Course. The Thundering Herd posted a 293 during Monday's final round for a 54-hole total of 880 (295-292-293). Xavier took home the team title with a three-round tally of 857 (287-288-282).
Bosten Miller was the top finishing Thundering Herd player. The junior from Charleston tied for ninth (73-69-75-217) with five other players. Xavier's Sebastian MacLean, who won the Marshall Invitational Sept. 14, was the tournament medalist (69-72-68-209).
Aaron Boggs and Brian Anania tied for 26th (222). Boggs tied his career best with a final round 68 (four-under). Anania shot 71 during the final round.
Sophomore Nathan Kerns tied for 38th (75-71-80-226) with three other players. Christian Brand tied for 46th (76-73-79-228).
The Herd return to the links next Monday and Tuesday at the University of Cincinnati Bearcat Invitational.
