HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - The Marshall University volleyball team hosts East Carolina in what will serve as Senior Night along with being the 2010 season finale on Saturday evening at 7 p.m. in the Cam Henderson Center.
The Thundering Herd looks to rebound after dropping a five-set match to the Pirates on Wednesday in Greenville, N.C. Dorothy Rahal and Laura Der each set career-highs with 29 and 23 digs, respectively, while Elizabeth Fleming collected 14 digs of her own to pass the 1,000 dig plateau in her career.
Seniors Kelley Bugler, Elizabeth Herman and Fleming will all be honored as they compete in their final match as members of the Herd.
"These three have been exemplary people whom Marshall University should be very proud," head coach Mitch Jacobs said. "They have been a part of a regular season championshp, one of only three regular season or tournament championships that this athletics department has won since our move to Conference USA. They have been great examples of what the word 'student-athlete' should stand for and role models both academically and athletically to so many young volleyball fans and players within our community. The never quit attitude that these three have delivered throughout this very difficult season is just another example of the wonderful young women these Daughters of Marshall truly are. They will all be undoubtedly successful in their future endeavors and I'm going to miss them very much.
"I do hope that our fans can come out and support these seniors as they play their last match for The Herd."
Ticket Promotion: Free admission is provided to those fans that show their ticket from the Marshall football game versus Tulane.
