Justin Maynard Takes Lead in Day 1 of Herd Challenge

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - Senior Justin Maynard won four-of-five individual events to claim 20 points in Day 1 of the fourth annual Herd Challenge on Monday afternoon at Joan C. Edwards Stadium.

The speedy outfielder from Huntington, won the distance race, pro-agility test, 60-yard dash and produced the top time in the home-to-first race. Maynard completed the 60-yard dash in 6.45 seconds.

Victor Ramos holds second place after the first day with 15 total points, including a trio of second place finishes, while Joe Church ranks third with 13 points.
