Marshall University's football team will travel to Birmingham, Ala., to take on UAB in a Conference USA clash at historic Legion Field. Kickoff is scheduled for 4 p.m. (ET) and the game will be televised by CSS.

Marshall (2-6, 1-2 C-USA) is coming off of a 16-12 win over UTEP in which freshman running back Tron Martinez exploded with 116 rushing yards and the game winning touchdown in his first collegiate start.

UAB (3-5, 2-2 C-USA) scored a 50-49 win at Southern Miss in double overtime last week and has come close to upsetting SEC members Tennessee and Mississippi State this season. Blazers quarterback Bryan Ellis has thrown for 1,675 yards and 12 touchdowns in seven games this season, while running back Pat Shed is averaging an impressive six yards per carry.

The Thundering Herd leads the all-time series, 4-1. Marshall won last year's meeting in Huntington, 27-7. UAB downed Marshall in its last trip to Legion Field, 23-21 in 2008.

The game will be televised throughout the Southeast on CSS with Matt Stewart handling play-by-play, Chuck Oliver serving as analyst and Allison Williams providing sideline reports.
