Jones Places Sixth in Weight Throw at C-USA Championships

HOUSTON, Texas - The Marshall University women's track and field team finishes day one at the Conference USA Championships with LaTricia Jones placing sixth in the weight throw to conclude the field events at the University of Houston.

Jone's toss of 54-.06 placed her just six feet short of UTEP's Terran Alexander throw for first place. Kristin Smith, the defending C-USA pentathlon champion, finished her defense of the pentathlon in sixth place.
