Track and Field Beings Outdoor Season at Miami

CORAL GABLES, Fla. - The Marshall University women's tack and field team opens its outdoor season this weekend as the Herd participates in the Hurricane Invitational at the University of Miami.

The Thundering Herd joins a field of 16 teams with the likes of Virginia Tech, Texas, Connecticut and Wisconsin, among others.

Coming off a phenomenal indoor season in which she was the first NCAA national indoor provisional qualifier in program history, Andrea Jackson will look to capture the triple-jump crown in what promises to be a loaded field.

After the meet in Coral Gables, the Herd will remain in the sunshine state to participate at the UCF Invitational the following week.
