Herd to Conclude Spring Competition in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Marshall University men’s soccer team plays in final spring competition matches Saturday afternoon as the Thundering Herd travels to Lexington for contests with the University of Evansville and the University of Dayton.
MU has reeled off four consecutive wins since losing to the MLS professional team of the Columbus Crew. The Herd’s wins have come against Longwood University (1-0), the College of William & Mary (1-0), Slippery Rock University (2-0), and the University of the Cumberlands (3-0).
Evansville is coming off a season in which the Purple Aces were 12-8-1. Dayton recorded 14 wins in 2009 as The Flyers were 14-5-1.
Marshall is scheduled to play UE at 2:15 p.m., while the match with Dayton is set for 3:30 p.m. The matches will be played at the University of Kentucky Soccer Complex.
