HUNTINGTON, W.Va.- Marshall forward Tom Jackson was recognized for his stellar performance against Memphis this past weekend with a spot on the College Soccer News Team of the Week.

The Thundering Herd's leading goalscorer this season, Jackson has tallied back-to-back hattricks at Sam Hood Field against visiting Winthrop and Memphis teams. The New Zealand native leads Marshall with 15 points - seven goals and one assist - on the season, and earned a spot on the Team of the Week by scoring all three goals against C-USA opponent Memphis in a 3-0 victory.

"It takes a total team effort to win," said Head Coach Bob Gray, "but we are very pleased with the way Tom has been scoring goals for us. He is a very hard worker, and it's nice to see his effort paying off for both himself and the team."

Jackson will now look to continue his goalscoring trend when the Herd travels to play Kentucky on Wednesday, October 5, at 7:00 p.m.
