Beef O'Brady's Bowl
The game was the lowest-scoring contest in Beef O'Brady's Bowl history, with the two teams combining for just 30 points. The previous low was 55 points, scored when USF defeated Memphis, 41-14 in 2008.
The two teams set a new Beef O'Brady's Bowl record for combined punts in a game with 16 total attempts. The previous record was 13 in the 2010 contest.
Tyler Warner's 37-yard field goal in the first quarter marked the longest field-goal in Marshall's bowl history, besting the previous long of 32-yards, set by Billy Malashevich in the 1998 Motor City Bowl against Louisville.
The score also tied as the second-longest field goal in the history of the Beef O'Brady's Bowl, matching the mark set by Maikon Bonani of USF against Memphis in 2008. The longest field goal in bowl history was 43 yards, by San San Te of Rutgers in the 2009 game against UCF. Warner's field goal was later displaced to third on the Beef O'Brady's Bowl record list, as FIU's Jack Griffin connected on a record-setting 46-yard attempt.
With another field goal in the fourth quarter, this time from 39 yards out, Warner tied the Beef O'Brady's Bowl record for FG made in a game at two, matching Maikon Bonani of USF against Memphis in 2008.
Warner and Malashevich are the only two Marshall place kickers to connect on two-of-two field goal attempts in a bowl game.
Andre Booker set a new Beef O'Brady's Bowl record with a 38-yard punt return in the first quarter. The previous record was 15 yards, set by USF's Theo Wilson in 2008 against Memphis.
Booker also set a new Beef O'Brady's Bowl record for punt return yards, finishing the evening with 56 yards on three punt returns. The previous record of 16 yards on three returns was set by Marcus Edwards of USF against Memphis in 2008.
Troy Evans' 28-yard kickoff return in the first quarter tied for the fifth-longest KOR in the history of the Beef O'Brady's Bowl.
Tyson Gale's 2.5 Tackles for Loss ranks second in Beef O'Brady's Bowl history. Korey Williams of Southern Miss set the record with 3.0 against Louisville in 2010.
Rakeem Cato's 31-yard pass to Aaron Dobson at the end of the second quarter is the fifth-longest pass in Beef O'Brady's Bowl history, and the fourth-longest touchdown pass.
Cato broke the Beef O'Brady's Bowl record for most pass attempts, finishing the contest with 39 surpassing the previous record of 32, set in the 2010 game by both Justin Burke of Louisville and Austin Davis of Southern Miss.
Cato also set a new Beef O'Brady's Bowl record with 27 completions, breaking the previous record of 20, set by Louisville's Justin Burke against Southern Miss in 2010.
With 224 passing yards, Cato ranks third all-time for passing yards in Beef O'Brady Bowl history.
Cato's pass attempt and completion numbers also set new offensive records for the Beef O'Brady's Bowl in those team categories.

With two receiving touchdowns in the contest, Aaron Dobson tied the record for most touchdowns scored by an individual in the Beef O'Brady Bowl history.
