Jasia Richardson Win Triple Jump at FSU Relays

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Jasia Richardson of the Marshall University women's track and field team took first place in the triple jump Saturday afternoon on the final day of the FSU Relays at Mike Long Track on the campus of Florida State University.
Richardson posted a distance of 12.08m (39-07.75 feet), which bested Latera Davis of Florida State who finished second at 11.98m. It was Richardson's first top finish of the 2011 outdoor season.
Vanessa Jules also had a standout performance as she took second place in the high jump, clearing 1.75m. Only Uhunoma Osazuwa (unattached) finished ahead of her. Elaine Derricott placed sixth in that same event with a height of 1.60m (5-03.00 feet).
Also recording top-10 finishes were Amanda Hottenstein in the shot put (12.16m), Ronlanda Bruce (1:02.98) and Lauren DeHays (1:05.64) in the 400 meter hurdles, and Kathleen Clark (4:57.18) in the 1,500 meter run.
Up next for the Thundering Herd is the Ohio Women's Team Challenge hosted by the Ohio Bobcats on April 9th.
