Baseball Heads to Lexington to Play Eastern Kentucky

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - The Marshall University baseball team will take on the Eastern Kentucky Colonels at Applebee's Park, home of the Lexington Legends in Lexington, Ky., on Tuesday. First pitch is slated for 3 p.m.

Marshall (9-13) is coming off a 1-2 weekend series against UAB in which all three games were decided by one run, including a 14-inning marathon that the Blazers won 2-1.

EKU (7-17) has been led by Jacob Daniel at the plate. He enters the midweek clash with a .349 batting average along with a team-high four homers and 21 RBI.

The pitching matchup will feature MU's Aaron Blair (0-1, 7.36 ERA), making his second collegiate start. The Colonels counter with Anthony Bazzani (0-5, 12.23 ERA), who is search of his first victory in 2011.
