Miller Awarded Medalist, Herd Fourth

Lexington, Ky. - Bosten Miller (Charleston, W.Va./Capital HS) was crowned tournament medalist at the UK Bluegrass Fall Invitational Sunday after the three-round tournament. Miller's two-under par, 211 put him ahead of the 87-player field and assisted The Herd to a fourth place finish.
Among the 15-team field Marshall's 54-hole total of 877 finished 13 strokes behind the first place host, Kentucky Wildcats.
Sunday's round proved to be another round without going over par for Bosten Miller, as he has opened the 2011-12 season with six straight. Behind Miller in the UK Invitational, Brian Anania (Hurricane, W.Va./Hurricane HS) posted a 224. Nathan Kerns (Ironton, Ohio/Ironton HS) and Tas Sipowski (Jupiter, Fla.) followed Miller and Anania with a two-day total of 225. Jeremy Rogers (Buckhannon, W.Va.) tallied a score of 234.
After last weekends 8th place finish, and this weekends 4th place results, Marshall will look to continue improving its tournament finishes as they travel to Simpsonville, Kentucky next weekend to face the field in the Cardinal Invitational held at The Cardinal Club.
