PINEHURST, N.C.- The Thundering Herd men's golf team fell behind UNC-Greensboro in the final round of the Golf Pride Pinehurst Intercollegiate on Sunday morning to finish in 12th place with a three round team score of 909.

UNCG was 11th with a score of 902, while Old Dominion University took home the trophy with a first place tally of 871. For Marshall, it is the second consecutive tournament this spring in which the team has finished in last place.

Perhaps the only bright spot during a bleak Sunday for the Herd came in the form of sophomore Jeremy Roger's ace on hole number seven. His hole-in-one was the only such shot of the tournament, but did little to help the Marshall cause since he was playing as an individual and not part of the team score.

Senior co-captain Bosten Miller shot the Herd's best score through the three round tournament, posting a 220 (72, 73, 75) that was good enough to tie him for 14th place individually. Sophomore Brian Anania was second on the squad with a score of 226 (77, 72, 77) that earned him a share of 36th place.

Marshall head coach Joe Feaganes will now look to get his golfers refreshed and refocused for their next tournament, which is scheduled to take place at the Furman Intercollegiate on Friday.
