Marshall Trio Prepares for NCAA Nationals

Amongst those in participation will be three members of the Marshall University women's track and field team, a trio that will represent the largest Thundering Herd contingent to participate in the event since the 2007-2008 season.
Each of the three ladies is regionally ranked in the top-25 of her respective event, beginning with Vanessa Jules and her No. 19 ranking in the East Region high jump. The junior from
Javelin thrower and school record holder Amanda Kennedy will enter the prelims with a No. 24 regional ranking and a No. 67 national ranking after throwing for a season-best distance of 149-7. The Bentleyville,
Jasia Richardson will be the Herd's other participant and will compete in the triple jump at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday after earning regional and national rankings of 25 and 43 with a 12.87m jump earlier in the season.
