S-A Athlete of the Week: Sacha Byous-McConnell

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - Senior middle blocker Sacha Byous-McConnell tallied 24 kills with a .413 hitting percentage over the two-match conference weekend in wins over ECU and UAB and is this week's Marshall Student-Athlete of the Week.

On Sunday she helped Marshall defeat UAB, 3-0, in which she collected 15 kills while hitting .583. It was the Herd's first win at UAB since 2007. Byous-McConnell is currently third on the career hitting percentage list in Marshall's record book. She is second in Conference USA with a .382 hitting percentage.

With the 2-0 weekend Marshall moves into third place in Conference USA with a 12-11 overall record (6-2 C-USA).
