HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - Marshall's baseball program and Coach Jeff Waggoner have announced six signees in the 2014-15 recruiting class.

The class consists of three junior college pitchers and three position players who will join the Herd for the 2014-15 season. They are JD Hammer, Callaway Kirkpatrick, Heston Van Fleet, Andrew Bladt, Wesley Wommack, and Alejandro Juvier.

"As our blueprint here at Marshall, we focus on bringing in small classes, which is consistent with our philosophy of developing the player first. There is great balance with three pitchers and three position players. Coach Donnelly and Coach Newman did a great job. The future of Marshall Baseball is bright and we look forward to having these young men on our campus and in our community"- Coach Waggoner

The Marshall coaching staff on JD: "JD is a highly touted pitcher coming in to be a frontline pitcher for us. He has had success at the Junior College level and he has been on a World Series team. He has a fastball that has been up to 94 and will be one of the best prospects in our region and league."
