HUNTINGTON, W.Va. -- Marshall baseball will hold its first wave of winter instructional camps starting in December.
The Herd will hold a two-day Holiday Youth Academy for youth players ages 6-14, and a high school Elite Prospect Camp for grades 9-12. The Youth Academy is scheduled for Monday, Dec. 29 from 9 a.m. -12:30 p.m. and Tuesday, Dec. 30 at the same times.
The Academy will help teach valuable life skills as well as provide baseball instruction. The clinic will consist of skill-specific coaching, including baserunning, hitting, fielding, pitching, and strength training.
The camp will be held in Marshall's new state-of-the-art Chris Cline Athletic Complex's indoor facility. The facility features a full 100-yard football field, batting cages, and portable mounds and is climate-controlled to allow for optimum skill work.
