Herd Adds Game; Hosts Four Game Series Against WV Tech

HUNTINGTON, W.Va.-Marshall baseball will head into Easter weekend with a four-game series with West Virginia Tech, after a fourth game was added to the schedule earlier this afternoon.
The teams will now begin play Wednesday, April 16, beginning at 2:00 p.m. at the Kennedy Center Field.
Thursday, Friday, and Saturday's games are all slated for a 3:00 p.m. start time.
Marshall is currently 14-20, with an 8-9 conference record and holds a dominating 56-18 record all-time vs. the Golden Bears.
Fans can follow along via the @HerdBaseball Twitter account for in-game updates, and can listen to WMUL-FM radio broadcasts of the game via live streaming beginning Thursday.

Marshall is coming off a big win Sunday, handing UTSA its first home conference loss of the season when the Herd took down the Roadrunners 5-2.
Redshirt sophomore Robert Fajardo (Miami) went 2-4 with a run and RBI in the contest.
The victory puts Coach Jeff Waggoner as the second winningest coach in Marshall history at 171 wins.
Sophomore Aaron Bossi (St. Louis, Mo.) carries a hot bat into the weekend, going .370 in his last eight games with ten hits and three runs.
SCOUTING THE GOLDEN BEARS
WV Tech comes into the series with a 13-19 record, coming out of a 2-1 weekend against Bluefield State College.
Senior Zach Sizemore leads the Golden Bears with a .394 average. The infielder has eight doubles, a triple, four home runs and 23 RBI on the season.
WV Tech posts a collective ERA of 5.09. The Herd will likely face starter Josh Smetana during the series. The sophomore has made seven starts out of eight appearances this season and boasts a 1.83 ERA with 36 strikeouts.
