MURFREESBORO, Tenn.-- Marshall baseball played its second to last game of the season Friday, falling 14-0 to Middle Tennessee.

Sergio Leon (Miami) broke up a no hitter in the top of the seventh, singling through the left side gap with one out.

Middle Tennessee plated one run in the third to break the blank, and added insurance with a run in the fifth and 11 in the seventh to come away with the 13-0 victory.

Starter Chase Boster (Stafford, Va.) threw six innings, fanning five while allowing two runs off six hits.

Kyle Kessler (Matthews, N.C.) worked 1.1 innings, picking up three K's out of five batters faced. The outing was his second longest of the season, after the redshirt junior opened the season with 1.2 innings of relief against Towson.

Marshall will conclude 2014 Saturday as the Herd faces the Blue Raiders at 2 p.m. ET.
