HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall University Baseball Head Coach Greg Beals announced the team's 2027 schedule on Wednesday.

"With Fall ball recently in our rear-view mirror, we are excited to begin looking forward to our 2027 spring schedule," Beals said. "The schedule is very similar to years past with the first two weekends being on the road, the season opener in Florida and the second weekend in South Carolina. Opening weekend, we will be playing in the Atlanta Braves spring training stadium in North Port, Florida. Weekend two we will play a four-game series against Michigan State in Flour Field, home of the Boston Red Sox minor league affiliate in Greenville, South Carolina."

The Herd starts season at the Suncoast Collegiate Classic (Feb. 19-22) with games against Western Michigan, Iowa and Air Force before traveling to Greenville, South Carolina, for four contests against Michigan State (Feb. 26-28

"We will return to Huntington for weekends three and four at Jack Cook Field," Beals said. "The home opener will be Friday, March 5 against Canisius."

The Herd then hosts Canisius (Mar. 5-8) for a four-game series at Jack Cook Field for its first contests in Huntington of the season. Then Illinois State (Mar. 12-14) comes to Jack Cook Field for three games.

"We begin a very demanding Sunbelt Conference schedule on March 19 at Southern Miss," Beals commented. "We play three of the four toughest teams in our four-crossover series against the west. Southern Miss on the road as mentioned and fortunately we get LA Tech and Louisiana here at home."

For the team's five home Sun Belt Conference Series, Marshall welcomes Georgia Southern (Mar. 25-27), James Madison (Apr. 2-4), App State (Apr. 16-18), Louisiana Tech (Apr. 30-May 2) and concludes the season with Louisiana (May 20-22).

"The midweek non-conference game schedule is highlighted again by the three-game series against WVU, one there, one here and the finale in Charleston. We will also begin a series of games with Kentucky this year in Lexington - they will be returning to Marshall in the future," Beals said. "This schedule will give us every opportunity to develop and prepare for a post-season run which will be begin again in Montgomery, Alabama, with the Sun Belt Conference Tournament. We hope to see you at the ballpark."

In midweek contests, the team's annual three-games against West Virginia returns with a game at Jack Cook Field on April 7, in Morgantown on April 28 and in Charleston on May 4.

The Herd will also host Ohio on March 23 and Morehead State on May 11.
