Richardson Places 12th in Triple Jump at NCAA East Regional

JACKSONVILLE, Fla.-Marshall's Jasia Richardson recorded a triple jump of 13.06 meters Saturday at the NCAA East Regional, which was held on the campus of the University of North Florida. Her finish qualified her for the NCAA Finals, which will be held in Eugene, Or. from June 11-14.
The Richmond, Va. native posted her best jump on her first attempt. She fouled on her second and then leaped 12.84 meters on her third. She fouled on her fourth and fifth attempts before posting a 12.86-meter effort on her sixth and final jump.
Ciarra Brewer of Florida and Michigan State's Tori Franklin tied for first in the event with a leap of 13.49 meters, each on their final jump.
