EUGENE, Or.-Marshall triple jumper Jasia Richardson placed 16th at the NCAA Championships with a mark of 12.69 meters (41 feet, 7 3/4 inches) Friday evening on the campus of the University of Oregon.
Richardson's mark came on her second attempt. She leaped 11.99 meters (39 feet, 4 inches) on her first attempt and fouled on her third.
For her efforts, she was named a second-team All-American.
UTEP's Nickevea Wilson was the top Conference USA finisher, with a mark of 12.84 meters (42 feet, 1 1/2 inches) on her second attempt to take 10th-place honors.
