HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - Marshall volleyball enters its fourth consecutive Conference USA Tournament beginning Friday in San Antonio, Texas. The eighth-seeded Herd is scheduled to face the first-seeded WKU at 6 p.m. (ET) at the Convocation Center on UTSA's campus.

KIEKOVER NAMED TO FIRST-TEAM ALL CONFERENCE
Junior middle blocker Ally Kiekover (Grand Rapids, Mich.) was named to the All-Conference USA first team announced by the leagues office on Tuesday. Kiekover capped off the regular season with a stunning performance that helped propel the Herd into the conference tournament. In a must-win match, Kiekover recorded 18 kills with a .593 hitting percentage. Kiekover has been efficient all year in hitting, as she led the conference throughout the entire season with a .405 efficiency and led in conference play only with a .416 efficiency.

HAVE YOU HERD?
The Herd enters the conference tournament after an improbable comeback at Middle Tennessee. Marshall was down 0-2 in the match, and fell behind in the third set, but rallied behind the Herd's impressive offensive attack from Kiekover and Cassie Weaver (Huntington, W.Va.) to stun the Blue Raiders in five sets and to clinch the final seed in the tournament. Marshall is led by head coach Mitch Jacobs, who earned his 100th Conference USA win in San Antonio earlier this year, as Marshall became the first school to hand the roadrunners its first conference loss on its own home floor.

The junior libero, Allie Kellerman (Louisville, Ky.), enters the conference tournament after setting a new single-season record in digs with 538 in the win over Middle Tennessee. This wasn't the first time Kellerman placed herself in the Herd record book this season either, as she had the second and ninth best matches in Marshall history for digs on Sept. 12 against Davidson with 36 and on Oct. 30 at UAB with 32. Through conference play, Kellerman ranked third in digs per set with 4.36.

SCOUTING THE LADY 'TOPPERS
WKU enters the conference tournament looking to defend its title that it won a year ago. The 'Tops are 28-3 overall this season and clinched the top seed in the tournament with a C-USA record of 15-1. WKU is nationally ranked No. 21.

The Lady 'Toppers, who've won the last five matches all in straight sets, are led by Noelle Langenkamp, Alyssa Cavanaugh and Jessica Lucas. The three received first team all-conference honors on Tuesday. Langenkamp leads the squad with a .392 hitting percentage and second on the team in kills with 336. Cavanaugh leads WKU in kills with 353. Lucas, who was named setter of the year, has 1,195 assists.
